The Liberation of Education isn’t just a conference. It’s a movement to provide parents with the support and resources they need to liberate their kids from the mediocrity of public school.
Traditional education is much more concerned with test scores than it is with its students’ long-term happiness. This isn’t what education should be, and our kids deserve better. We’re here to equip parents with the tools and resources they need to take charge of their kids’ education.

Our Mission
The Liberation of Education was born in 2021, out of frustration with the education status quo. Our founding team of veteran educators and in-the-trenches parents wanted better.
Our inaugural 2022 conference (watch the recordings here!) had over 1,000 registrants, and the movement is quickly growing.
Our goal now is to build a community of parents, innovators, and educators all working to build a better future for our kids – one where kids’ individual needs are seen and heard, and where kids get to experience the joy of learning out of curiosity, not coercion.
Our job is to make it as easy as possible for parents to find all the resources out there, so they can design their kids’ education on their own terms.
Our Vision
We want to live in a world where education options are easy to find. A world with an abundance of approaches – one to fit the needs of every child – and where the thriving of the individual child is the highest priority.
We want the idea of homeschooling, private schooling, and online schooling to not feel foreign, but accessible. Parents who want to take that route should know where to start – and they should know what resources are available to them.
And we want it to be easy for parents to find other people walking the same path – to feel less like dissidents and more like a part of a movement of individuals all building a better future.
Because parents who want more for their kids are part of a movement. The movement may be hard to find, but it’s quickly growing.
A big change in education is already happening. The momentum is strong, and the future is bright.

PROBLEM
A Parent’s rights to educate children, as they see fit, has been taken
away from them.
These are among the problems parents have to work with:

Data Collection by the State is intrusive and provides little demonstrable value to parent and students -
Common Core is a disaster on all accounts (unless lowering the bar is the goal–if so, then it’s been very successful!) -
School is very expensive – either because public schools are not efficient and effective and therefore opportunity cost is high and hidden; OR the supply of available private alternatives is either unknown to parents or not easy to access or to implement. Per pupil funding, led by administrative costs, are out of control and not directed to better education. -
Monopolized one-size fits all systems with uninspiring institutional environments, mission-less rhetoric, virtue-less curriculum, milquetoast culture, ever present dangers of indoctrination, teaching-to-a-test with a low bar, equity comes at the price of excellence, treating parents as delivery drivers and children as commodities -
Students are treated as future worker bees on “assembly lines”. Children have purpose beyond what they do and fundamentally valuable for who they are and who they endeavor to be.
SOLUTION
Our mission is to provide as many exits as possible from the public school system.
We know that not everybody’s flexibility is the same – so our goal is to present options with varying costs, styles, and time commitments. Whether you’re a stay-at-home parent or a single working mom, there are options available to you to improve your kids’ education. It’s our mission to make sure you know where to find them.
In the long run, the future of education is going to come in many forms, and will be delivered by innovators, entrepreneurs, free-thinkers and builders – and above all else, by parents, who care more about their kids’ education than anyone else.
